The location in these photographs will likely come as a surprise to you, especially if you’ve only seen visuals of the war-torn nation on the news. Believe it or not, the images below are from Afghanistan in the 1950’s and 60’s. The difference between how things were then and how they’re portrayed to be today is just incredible.
