A reddit user uploaded these amazing pictures of a medieval chess set created by his mother that got a lot of people buzzing. Once you see these pictures you’ll understand why.
That thing is huge, and the attention to detail is simply exquisite. All in all the project took her around 6 months to complete and it’s currently sitting in her basement waiting for a gallery. Each piece is hollow, and as such are lighter than they look. The tallest king is around 6″.
What wonderful work. My mom just finished her second bottle of wine…not quite as impressive as this.
