Last Wednesday, tragedy struck in Fort Hood, Texas. An Army Specialist by the name of Ivan Lopez went on the shooting rampage. (It’s possible that it was a result of his request for temporary leave after his mother’s passing being rejected.) He began shooting at the intersection of 72nd Street and Tank Destroyer Boulevard on the Army base. He entered a building and fired randomly, then drove to another, shooting along the way. He killed three soldiers and injured 16 others. He then killed himself.
The entire country was moved by this terrible event, but a Veteran named Bob decided to do something to help people heal.

When asked about the shootings he said, “You know the dangers when you sign up for the military. You have to be prepared for them.”
It’s amazing what he did for the victims of this shooting and their families. It’s important to keep those people in your thoughts, as they are facing tragedy most of us cannot possibly understand. This shooting is sparking interest in mental health and gun issues, hopefully something can be done in the future to prevent this kind of awful event.
Share Bob’s act of kindness with others.
