There’s Something Different About This Swimming Pool. You Might Not Realize It Til You Jump In…

Jeroen Bisscheroux is an artist that specializes in creating things that aren’t really there. … you’ll see what we mean.

For instance, one of his most recent projects was a pool. You can’t swim in it because it doesn’t really exist. It’s titled POOL, loss of color and it’s a flat art optical illusion. No matter how many times you look at it, it’s going to trick your eyes.

The deteriorating swimming pool wasn't created just to trick the eyes.
The art installation in Japan represented two different tragedies...
One is the recent tsunami that devastated the Sendai region.
The other is the meltdown of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.

Optical illusion art is awe-inspiring. Not only did the artists have the talent to create something so beautiful, but they also were creative enough to make it fool our senses. Truly wonderful.
