Photographer Shaun Bloodworth created this short video called “The Putter,” documenting the intriguing process of making scissors and shears by hand.
The video follows Cliff Denton, a master scissor putter-togetherer — “putter” for short — who’s been plying his trade for 55 years. Most of Denton’s career has been spent at Ernest Wright & Son Ltd, a 112-year-old company that’s one of the last manufacturers of handmade scissors and shears in existence.
