This 2-minute excerpt of a record-breaking lap from professional motorcycle road racer Bruce Anstey’s helmet camera last week is absolutely incredible. It’s easy to see why 241 riders have lost their lives on this course since the famed Isle of Man TT motorcycle race through the island’s city and mountains began 107 years ago.
Anstey averaged a breath-taking 132 miles per hour (213 km/h) for 17 minutes in one lap around the island. Though we haven’t been able to verify a top speed, Anstey set a record seven years ago by hitting 206 MPH (331.5 km/h) at his fastest point in the race, and he doesn’t appear to have been far from that during this insane run…
