Yesterday, 21-year-old soccer player John Brooks scored the goal of a lifetime, putting the U.S. ahead against Ghana and winning the game. All of a sudden he was a superstar with people nationwide who haven’t watched soccer in four years knowing his name…and loving him.

Unfortunately, someone with a bit more editorial clout decided that they didn’t like the truth being so plainly spoken and the page has been reedited.
