In China at least, IKEA has a very hospitable policy regarding its furniture — Visitors are more than welcome to try it out as thoroughly as they want even if they have no intention of buying. And how does own try out a bed?
By sleeping in it, of course. (What did you think I meant?)
So as the summer heat drives people to the air conditioned solace of places like IKEA, more and more browsing customers are taking advantage of the “open bed” policy, or “open couch” in some instances.
