Three days after an audio recording was released showing Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling chiding his girlfriend, V. Stiviano, for being seen with black men, the NBA’s longest-tenured franchise owner has been banned for life from the league.
In addition, Sterling was fined $2.5 million, the maximum amount allowed. As part of his ban, he cannot attend any NBA game or even appear at an NBA facility.
