In an effort to beautify her town in a small but creative way, painter Wang Yue goes out with a backpack of simple art supplies and finds trees with bark missing. She then paints the exposed wood to look like a hollow area in the tree. And, of course, holes in trees need little critters living in them…
Sometimes the animals she adds don’t exactly belong in hollow trees, but that’s OK…
And other times, she simply used the bare wood as a canvas for other nature paintings…
