Years ago, after his dad mentioned the car again, 8-year-old Mike told his old man that he’d buy him a ’57 Chevy for his 57th birthday. But 8-year-olds say all kinds of nonsense, so I’m sure his dad just thanked him for the sentiment and forgot all about it.
But Mike didn’t. Several years ago, he worked overtime for a few months and bought his dad’s dream car. He hid the car in his own garage where it awaited his dad’s 57th birthday.
