At the end of the 10th anniversary celebration for Les Miserables in 1995, a cast of 17 actors who had played Valjean across the globe each took a turn singing a line from “Do You Hear the People Sing” in the language they’d performed it in. Represented are French, German, Japanese, Hungarian, Swedish, Polish, Dutch, Norwegian, Czech, Danish, Icelandic and English.
